The music is set, the jokes are written, the performers are ready, the chorus is putting the finishing touches on the music, and the cast is in their final dress week of dress rehearsals for the Claysburg Hee Haw Show.

On Friday and Saturday, April 13 and 14, 2018 when the curtain opens at 7:30 pm at Claysburg-Kimmel High School Auditorium, the 18th Annual Claysburg Hee Haw Show will be in full swing.  The show is full of stories, jokes, comedy routines and music entertainment galore.  While the cast begins putting the finishing touches on songs and jokes beginning the week of the show, dress rehearsals will be in full swing.

The typically large cast of members most of them from the Claysburg Area are mostly repeat performers with many of them 18 year veterans performing in all the shows.  The show’s cast of characters has hit a new point this year with two of Claysburg’s church ministers as part of a skit, but it is definitely rated G!  Some of the special things featured in the show are jokes from the corn field, the clothesline singers, KORN news and the schoolhouse scene. There will toe tapping music and jokes to go around and around and around.  MC’s for the show are Matt Imler and Heidi Kennedy.

Entertainment includes Wills Mountain Cloggers and Mt. City Grass on Friday night.   Horseshoe Cloggers and 5 DC will perform on Saturday night.  Performers for both nights include soloists Brandi Naugle, Jodi Potter and Stacy Cowher and the Claysburg Community Chorus.  While the show begins at 7:30 pm each evening, entertainment music will start at 6:45 pm each evening.

The show is under the able bodied direction of Dan Crist from Claysburg as it has been in the year’s past.  The show is sponsored by the Claysburg Rotary.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $7.00 from the Boy Scouts and CK Cares for the Girl Scouts or at the door the night of the performances. The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts get to keep all the proceeds from tickets they sell.  Ticket prices at the door are $8.00 for adults.  All door sale proceeds will support Claysburg Rotary projects.  For a few bucks in admission price, it will be money well spent and proceeds go to some great causes.  Actually the price per laugh will be pennies!
